SCHOOL MURAL

I created this mural with 12 middle school students in Grass Valley, over a period of 4 days.

The students were part of the project from start to finish, and it included a lot of their suggestions and input.

The only thing I had before meeting them was a rough pencil sketch, and the paint colors . I wanted the image to be a Sierra mountain scene, highlighting the adventure side of this school whose learning model is Expeditionary Learning. The schools symbol is a coyote, so we included that, along with adventure elements and local flora and fauna.
