This was a fun little project for Art Elementals I completed recently. I had never painted a boombox before and I can't say its the easiest surface - but it was fun non-the-less. But no, it doesn't play cassette tapes anymore.

This 2x5' painting depicts a unique family story and I was so honored to be asked to paint it, and to tell the story to the generations to come. I sometimes have to step outside of my comfort zone when painting portraits, but I think I pulled it off. The painting is full of symbols and meanings and took several months to complete.

Just painted these skateboards for Art Elementals in Madison Wisconsin. I always enjoy projects like this where I get to have fun on unconventional surfaces. Not the first skate decks I've painted, and won't be the last.

I just painted some poppies, butterflies, fish and things on the garden shed at my daughters school. I can't wait to see it when the real California poppies start to bloom around it.
